Twelve giant trolls land at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, May 14, 2027

GRAND RAPIDS. Danish artist Thomas Dambo brings twelve troll sculptures, built from reclaimed wood, fallen branches, and old pallets, to Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park from May 14 through Oct. 31, 2027. The trolls are led by a character named Taks. Admission is included with regular Meijer Gardens tickets.

Before the trolls arrive, Meijer Gardens runs its ENLIGHTEN holiday light experience Nov. 23, 2026, through Jan. 10, 2027, 5:30 to 10 p.m., along a roughly one mile outdoor route. Tickets are $32 for adults, $24 for seniors and students, and $16 for kids 3 to 13; under 2 is free. The ticket includes the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory and a holiday exhibit with more than 40 cultural displays and a railway garden. Advance reservations are recommended, and tickets are sold separately from daytime admission.
