Lakeshore Legal Aid: a 60th birthday party at the Dossin Museum, Nov. 12

DETROIT. Lakeshore Legal Aid turns 60 this year, and it's marking the date with a party. The nonprofit holds its anniversary celebration Nov. 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum on Belle Isle.
The group has provided free legal services to low income families since 1966. Ticket proceeds from attending Michigan attorneys and law firms go to the Access to Justice Fund, which pays for civil legal aid across the state.
Ticket and Belle Isle parking details are at lakeshorelegalaid.org/60th-anniversary.
