One armed Muay Thai fighter headlines Detroit card, Nov. 7
DETROIT. A Muay Thai card hits the Masonic Temple Nov. 7, presented with Mitten Muay Thai. It's headlined by Michigan's Cody Stamann, a former UFC fighter, against Jake Peacock, who competes in ONE Championship despite being born with one arm.
Gym owner Munib Salmani, who's organizing the card, says Peacock's missing arm doesn't show when he fights. "The guy doesn't look like he has one arm, honestly," Salmani said. Six fighters from his Weavers Boxing Gym in Garden City are also on the card. Salmani is opening a second gym in Dearborn Heights built for Muay Thai and MMA.
The card goes Nov. 7 at the Masonic Temple.
