November in Metro Detroit: foliage, a parade, and a ballet by candlelight

DETROIT. Fall color is still out at Belle Isle Park, at Cranbrook House and Gardens in Bloomfield Hills, and at Kensington Metropark in Milford. Cranbrook's gardens stay open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through March 13, and dogs are welcome on a leash. Downtown, the Guardian Building at 500 Griswold Street is open for tours of its 1920s lobby, and Candlelight Concerts bring classical music to a room lit entirely by candles.
America's Thanksgiving Day Parade runs through Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. The Redford Theatre, at 17360 Lahser Road, stages Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty on Sunday, Nov. 15, an hourlong show with a second date on Jan. 16.
None of the five have a listed price. Check each venue directly before heading out.
